Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution is a leave-on alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) treatment formulated for surface exfoliation and texture renewal. Glycolic Acid is the smallest AHA molecule in skincare - meaning it penetrates deeper into the skin surface than any other AHA. By breaking the bonds between dead skin cells on the epidermis, it reveals fresher, smoother, more even-toned skin underneath. At 7%, this is a balanced home-use concentration - strong enough to deliver visible smoothing in 4 to 6 weeks, gentle enough for evening use without dermatologist supervision.
The formula is supported by Hyaluronic Acid for hydration buffering, Niacinamide for barrier support, and Ginseng Extract for skin vitality. This is a powerful exfoliant - start with 2 to 3 nights per week and build tolerance gradually. Apply after cleansing with the Gentle Skin Cleanser, follow with the Ceramides and Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizer for barrier protection, and ALWAYS use SPF the next morning. Skin Type: Normal, combination, oily, dull skin (caution with dry or sensitive)
Best For: Rough skin texture, dullness, surface fine lines, mild pigmentation, blackheads (secondary), keratosis pilaris on body
Use If: Your primary complaint is rough or uneven texture, dullness that no moisturizer fixes, or you want surface-level brightening through exfoliation
Go Slow If: You have sensitive or dry skin - start once per week and build to 2-3 nights only
Avoid If: Compromised barrier, eczema, very dry skin, simultaneous Retinol or strong BHA use the same night, recent cosmetic procedures (peels, lasers, microneedling)
Age: 18 years and above
Pregnancy / Lactation: Generally considered safer than Salicylic Acid at this concentration. Consult your doctor if unsure.
pH Level: 3.5 to 4.0
Free From: Fragrance, Paraben, SLS, Alcohol
Steps:1 - Cleanse with the Gentle Skin Cleanser and pat completely dry.
2 - Apply Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution to a cotton pad or directly to fingertips.
3 - Sweep across the face, neck, and decolletage. Avoid eyes, lips, and broken skin. Do not rinse.
4 - Wait 1 to 2 minutes for the AHA to settle on the skin.
5 - Seal with the Ceramides and Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizer. Barrier repair is critical after AHA use.
6 - The next morning, finish your AM routine with the SPF 50 Sunscreen. AHA significantly increases sun sensitivity for up to 7 days after use - SPF is non-negotiable.
When to Use: Night only. Start 2 nights per week, build to 3 nights as tolerated. Do not use nightly without a barrier-rest day.
Tip: Never use Glycolic Acid on the same night as Retinol or leave-on Salicylic Acid - this causes severe over-exfoliation. Alternate them on different nights. Mild tingling for the first 30 seconds is normal. Persistent burning, peeling beyond mild flakiness, or rashes mean stop and rest the skin for a week.
