The 10% Ceramides and Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizer is a barrier-repair moisturizer formulated for users who need deep hydration alongside structural skin barrier support. Ceramides are lipids that naturally make up about 50% of the skin barrier - replenishing them prevents transepidermal water loss, reduces sensitivity, and restores the skin's resilience. Paired with Hyaluronic Acid and Niacinamide, this moisturizer addresses both the water and lipid components of healthy hydrated skin.
This is the mandatory moisturizer after Retinol 0.5% Face Serum use - Retinol weakens the barrier temporarily, and ceramides repair it overnight. It is also the recommended moisturizer for dry, sensitive, and post-active-treatment routines. Apply as the final hydration step before SPF in the morning, or as the last step at night. Layer over the Hyaluronic Acid 2% Face Serum for combined humectant + barrier protection. Browse the full Ceramide range.
Skin Type: Dry, sensitive, dehydrated, normal-to-combination, mature, post-active
Best For: Barrier repair, dryness, sensitivity, post-Retinol recovery, post-Salicylic Acid hydration, compromised skin from over-exfoliation
Use If: You use Retinol, Salicylic Acid, or Glycolic Acid (any active that weakens the barrier), your skin feels tight or sensitive, you have eczema-prone skin, or you want a moisturizer that does more than basic hydration
Go Slow If: Never - Ceramides are universally tolerated.
Avoid If: Very oily skin that prefers ultra-lightweight finish may find this richer than needed (consider the Vitamin B5 10% Moisturizer instead).
Age: All ages (12+ for daily moisturizing)
Pregnancy / Lactation: Safe.
pH Level: 5.0 to 6.0
Free From: Fragrance, Paraben, SLS, Alcohol
Steps:1 - Cleanse with the Gentle Skin Cleanser.
2 - If using a treatment serum, apply it first. Examples: Retinol 0.5% Face Serum at night, Hyaluronic Acid 2% Face Serum on damp skin, or Niacinamide 10% Face Serum for pores and marks.
3 - Allow the serum 30 seconds to absorb.
4 - Take a pea-sized amount of the Ceramides and Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizer onto fingertips.
5 - Gently massage across the face and neck in upward strokes until fully absorbed.
6 - In the morning, finish with the SPF 50 Sunscreen. The moisturizer goes underneath SPF.
When to Use: Morning and evening, every day. Mandatory after Retinol use at night.
Tip: If you start any new active (Retinol, Salicylic Acid, Glycolic Acid) and notice dryness, tightness, or stinging, increase Ceramide moisturizer application from once to twice daily, and consider applying a thin "sandwich" layer before the active too. Barrier repair determines how well your skin tolerates actives long-term.
Key Ingredients:Ceramides: Lipids that naturally make up 50% of the skin barrier. Replenishing them prevents water loss, reduces sensitivity, and restores barrier function.
Hyaluronic Acid: Humectant that draws water into the skin and pairs with ceramides for complete hydration (water in + water locked in).
Niacinamide: Strengthens the barrier through ceramide synthesis support and reduces redness.
D-Panthenol (Vitamin B5): Calms irritation and supports skin recovery from active-induced sensitivity.
Aquaxyl: Patented hydration complex that supports the skin's natural moisturizing systems.
All Ingredients:
Aqua, Glyceryl Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sodium Stearyl Lactylate, Hyaluronic Acid, Aloe Vera Extract, Aquaxyl, D-Panthenol, Niacinamide, Ceramides, Cetyl Alcohol, Propanediol, Glycerin, Disodium EDTA, Ethylhexylglycerin.
Is this moisturizer suitable for oily skin?
Yes — it is lightweight and non-comedogenic. Oily skin still needs barrier support, and this formula will not clog pores.
Can I use this after Retinol or Salicylic Acid?
Yes — this is the ideal post-active moisturizer. Ceramides repair the barrier that actives can disrupt with regular use.
Morning or night?
Both. Use it as the last step in both your AM and PM routines, after all serums.
Is this safe for sensitive or reactive skin?
Yes — fragrance-free, no unnecessary fillers. Ceramides are one of the most well-tolerated ingredients for compromised or sensitive skin.
How much should I apply?
A pea-sized amount is enough for the full face. Apply in gentle upward strokes on slightly damp skin for best absorption.
