Ceramides and Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizer is a barrier-repair moisturizer formulated for skin that needs deep hydration alongside structural barrier support. Ceramides are lipids that naturally make up about 50% of the skin barrier, and replenishing them prevents transepidermal water loss, reduces sensitivity, and restores resilience. Paired with Hyaluronic Acid and Niacinamide, it addresses both the water and the lipid components of healthy, hydrated skin.
This is the recommended moisturizer after Retinol 0.5% Face Serum use, since Retinol weakens the barrier temporarily and ceramides repair it overnight. It also suits dry, sensitive, and post-active routines. Apply as the final hydration step before SPF in the morning, or as the last step at night, and layer it over the Hyaluronic Acid 2% Face Serum. Browse the full Ceramide range.
Key Benefits:Repairs the Skin Barrier: Replenishes ceramides to reduce sensitivity, calm tightness, and restore the barrier compromised by actives or over-exfoliation.
Deep, Lasting Hydration: Hyaluronic Acid draws water in while ceramides lock it in, addressing both sides of healthy hydration.
Ideal After Actives: The go-to recovery moisturizer after Retinol, Salicylic Acid, or Glycolic Acid to keep skin comfortable.
This moisturizer is made for dry, sensitive, dehydrated, normal-to-combination, mature, and post-active skin. It is the right choice if you use Retinol, Salicylic Acid, or Glycolic Acid, if your skin feels tight or sensitive, if you have eczema-prone skin, or if you want a moisturizer that does more than basic hydration.
It targets barrier repair, dryness, sensitivity, post-Retinol recovery, post-Salicylic Acid hydration, and compromised skin from over-exfoliation. Because ceramides are universally tolerated, there is no need to go slow when introducing it.
Very oily skin that prefers an ultra-lightweight finish may find this richer than needed and can consider the Vitamin B5 10% Moisturizer instead. Suitable for all ages (12 and up for daily moisturizing) and safe during pregnancy and lactation. It is free from fragrance, parabens, SLS, and alcohol.
STEP 1
Cleanse with the Gentle Skin Cleanser.
STEP 2
If using a treatment serum, apply it first - for example Retinol 0.5% Face Serum at night, Hyaluronic Acid 2% Face Serum on damp skin, or Niacinamide 10% Face Serum for pores and marks.
STEP 3
Allow the serum 30 seconds to absorb.
STEP 4
Take a pea-sized amount of the Ceramides and Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizer onto fingertips.
STEP 5
Gently massage across the face and neck in upward strokes until fully absorbed.
STEP 6
In the morning, finish with the SPF 50 Sunscreen. The moisturizer goes underneath SPF.
When to Use: Morning and evening, every day. Mandatory after Retinol use at night.
Tip: If a new active causes dryness or stinging, increase application from once to twice daily and consider a thin layer before the active too. Barrier repair determines how well skin tolerates actives long-term.
Ceramides: Lipids that make up about 50% of the skin barrier. Replenishing them prevents water loss, reduces sensitivity, and restores barrier function.
Hyaluronic Acid: Humectant that draws water into the skin and pairs with ceramides for complete hydration.
Niacinamide: Strengthens the barrier through ceramide synthesis support and reduces redness.
D-Panthenol (Vitamin B5): Calms irritation and supports recovery from active-induced sensitivity.
Aquaxyl: Patented hydration complex that supports the skin's natural moisturizing systems.
